Mother's Day Spa Gift Basket Idea

Mother’s Day is almost here! I have always looked at Mother’s Day as not only a way to say “thanks Mom!” but also a day for her to take “off” and do something for herself for a change. You know, like pampering! And what better way to help mom pamper herself but with a sweet Mother’s Day Spa Gift Basket!

I like to make the basket myself. I know I can make a budget-friendly version that includes mom’s favorite things so its totally customized.

This gift basket can really be made with just about anything your little heart desires. I chose a variety of pampering items and I’ll break them down for you here:

Chocolate

This is a no-brainer. Your gift MUST include chocolate. (Ok, not really, but you want mom to love it right? Just trust me on this. Chocolate.)

Mani-Pedi Supplies

Mother's Day Mani Pedi

Choose some fun spring/summer shades. Something bright and fun. You could even do each other’s nails for a little girl time.

Loofah or Pouf

Spa Gift Basket Shower Pouf

I like to include a loofah or bath pouf. Maybe a bottle of her favorite bubble bath, or some home made bath salts. A nice bubble bath will relax and soothe and she can soak her cares away! Doesn’t that sound fantastic?

Body Butter

I like to also include a rich body butter and/or a body scrub. For something natural, you can include a coconut oil body butter such as this one.

Facial Masks

Mother's Day Facial

Almost nothing feels better than a nice relaxing facial. I love the DIY versions at home. These little packets work wonderfully. Mom can put one on while she takes a relaxing soak in the tub!

Perfume

Love2Love Bluebell + White Tea

Perfumes can get really pricey, but these Love2Love scents from Coty are not only a great value, but they are perfect for spring. I chose two different ones because they are a nice addition to the basket, and since they are only $9.98 each at Walmart, you can afford to get more than one! I chose the the new Bluebell+White Tea and Jasmine+Sparkling Mimosa fragrances (mmm…mimosas….). Both are cheerful, fun, springtime scents that are perfectly uplifting after a relaxing day of pampering!

Love2Love Coty at Walmart

Put the whole thing together in an inexpensive basket. You could also get creative with your container and incorporate it into your theme, like using a footbath as the container for a mani/pedi themed basket. Or an ice bucket for a wine-themed gift basket. The options are endless!

About Rose Siders

I live in Oregon with my wonderful husband, Andrew, our dog Bear, and our cat Loki. I started couponing in July of 2011 as a financial necessity. We were broke, in debt and on a dangerous path. Since I have learned to coupon, I have saved literally thousands of dollars, enabling us to get our finances back on track, and save money to pay for our wedding, and purchase our first home (which we plan to do in the next year!).

I think you hit the nail on the head with this Spa Gift Basket–everything looks amazing in it–I want one for myself, but making one for the moms in my life would work! 😉 #client
