Sponsored Posts

Hello there my fabulous frugal friends!

If you are reading this page, that means you have stumbled on a sponsored post of mine. Since this is something that may concern or confuse folks, I wanted to make sure my intentions and direction are completely clear. If you’re not familiar with the blogger-sphere, this may seem unusual to you, but you will find that almost all bloggers (big and small) receive some form of compensation through advertising, sponsored posts, affiliate links and other means of revenue. It’s how we feed our families!

First and foremost-I try to maintain the utmost level of integrity with my readers. Honesty and transparency are paramount in my world and on my blog. That means if I got something for free, or was compensated for posting, I will always tell you that in my disclaimer.

That being said, I do NOT ever (read: NEVER EVER) post things just because I am paid for it. I get requests constantly for reviews and sponsored posts. I delete about 90% of them from my inbox for various reasons: they aren’t relevent to my readers, they are not products or services that I am willing to put my name behind, or any number of other reasons.

The things that DO make it to my blog have been carefully selected to be reliable, honest, and worthy of being presented to you with my name on it.

So you might ask yourself why I accept free products, or sponsored posts. There are many answers, but mostly it’s because running a blog is not free. I have expenses just like any other business and much of it is paid from my own pocket. Blogging does not make me rich, but it is my passion and I do it because I love it. Also-I cannot afford to buy all the products that I want to share with you, so sometimes it is necessary to be provided with a product by the company. Just because I receive a product (or a request for a review) does NOT mean that I will do it, nor does it necessarily indicate an unfavorable review. Typically if I do not like the product, I either don’t review it at all or I contact the company and let them know so that a dishonest review is not published.

My blog is based on trust. I want my readers to trust me, and if I jeopardize that trust, I know that I will lose it. It is so important to me to be a trustworthy, honest blogger-something that is unfortunately not always easy to find.

So, in closing- please know that I will always strive to be honest and transparent with my posts. If I am being compensated in any way I will let you know.  And just because a company offers me compensation it does not mean I will accept the agreement to endorse it. If for any reason you have questions or concerns about this, I will do my best to address them.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. You will find more information here in my Disclosure Policy.
